"A picture is worth a thousand words." As a visual learner, expect to see fun diagrams, pictures, and relevant analogies/real world applications from me as a tutor rather than paragraphs of text or lines of equations. I believe that all knowledge must be broken down into its simplest components, visualized, and applied before one can achieve mastery. And, once such a level of understanding is earned, it can last a lifetime and be applied in seemingly unrelated subjects. So, I will often ask my students to work through practice problems and then apply the core concepts in new and interesting ways.
For example, as a physics tutor, I might draw out and explain free body diagrams along with their importance in designing roller coasters. Then, I would have the student work through practice problems and ask for the student to draw the force vectors pertaining to objects in the room.
With majors in physics and biochemistry and a minor in math as well as current graduate experience in chemical engineering, I have gained an interdisciplinary wealth of knowledge that I love to foster in others. Similarly, I have research experience and have thus come to understand what factors are important in designing nanoparticle biosensors, algorithms for music generation, signal processing, therapeutic ultrasound, MRI, and optical tweezers. It is my goal to bring others up to understand the rewarding feeling that comes with a passion for science.
I have 6 years of tutoring experience in mathematics including algebra I and II, geometry, precalculus, calculus I, II, and III, differential equations, and linear algebra. So, I understand where most people will struggle and how to best approach the most common problems in these subjects.
I have 4 years of tutoring and 3 years of supplemental instruction experience and am currently a TA in organic chemistry. And, I have done research in analytical chemistry and was granted the Merk Index Award in organic chemistry (2014). Also, I have tutored in general chemistry fo

Makes it easier to understand!
Jason is helping me to understand the concepts I need to know to work in MRI. It is going to take a number of lessons, but I will get there. Very happy to have found him.

amazing tutor
Jason was amazing he tutored me on some physics 2 problems! Very very patient with me throughout the whole session. There wasn’t a single problem that he could not explain in full detail and correctly. If you need tutoring go with Jason!! You will not regret it!
