Protein Hot Chocolate Recipe (2)

All substitution options are a 1:1 substitution unless noted otherwise.

Flax Milk plus Protein: We love this plant-based milk for its creamy texture and higher protein content. It makes for a creamy protein drink the whole family will love!

Substitutions: However, any milk of choice can be used! Good alternatives include unsweetened almond milk, canned coconut milk, or cow's milk.

Chocolate Plant-Based Protein Powder:This is how we get that protein and chocolatey flavor! You could even add a little more cocoa powder if you're feeling wild!

Substitutions: Any chocolate protein powder can be used, such as whey protein powder, pea protein, soy protein, etc. If using vanilla protein powder, add 1.5 tablespoon cocoa powder or hot chocolate mix, or 2 tablespoon chocolate syrup.

Additions: Adding some optional toppings is a great way to add even more fun to this hot beverage! Some optional topping ideas include whipped cream, sprinkles, marshmallows, and any other ideas your sweet tooth can think of. Additions can make this hot protein shake bring out flavors in different ways. Additions include a drop of vanilla extract, cacao powder, heavy cream, and extra protein powder, (be careful, it'll get chunky if you add too much).

How to Make This - Step by Step
